Rossi Satisfied Finish Third


Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi very satisfied to reach the podium three Australian MotoGP. But he also stressed that the performance of the bike needs to be developed further in order to be better in the remaining two series.

In the race held at the Circuit Phillip Island, Rossi finished third while teammate, Jorge Lorenzo won the series followed by Dani Pedrosa.

Throughout the race, Rossi actually a lot more fight in the second group with Cal Crutchlow and Alvaro Bautista, the position of four. While in the leading group, Lorenzo, Pedrosa and Marc Marquez competing.

But in the process, Marquez was disqualified so the opportunity to occupy the third position was wide open for the riders in the second group. Luckily for Rossi, he won the duel with Crutchlow who was outmaneuvered and ensure a place on the podium.


"Ultimately, this is a good result. I am very happy to be on the podium here, at Philip Island, because it is always fun and a great atmosphere," Rossi said as quoted by the official MotoGP website.

"I tried to give maximum effort, very stressful race and I really enjoyed it, especially because with the team, we were able to do a very good job in the pits and grabbed two positions (at the podium)," she continued.


"I had a fierce fight with Crutchlow. When he realized it could lead to the podium, I tried to give maximum effort. In the last half-lap, began to rain and it was very scary, but in the end there was no problem and the results are good. MotoGP season now only leaves two more series, namely Motegi and Valencia. Rossi himself is now in fourth place standings with a value of 214, the difference of 50 points from Pedrosa in the order of three and 35 points ahead of Crutchlow in fifth place.
